The Songimvelo Circle

The Songimvelo Game Reserve is home to the ’Big Four’ (excluding the lion). It is located adjacent to Swaziland’s Malolotga Reserves and offers visitors a variety of activities such as hiking, horse riding and mountain biking.

The Trout Triangle

The Trout Triangle is a fishing triangle formed by Waterval Boven, Machododorp, Belfast along the N4 and Dullstroom on route to Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourkes Luck, God’s Window, Mac Mac Falls and the Kruger Park. The Trout Triangle also offers activities such as abseiling, rock climbing, hiking, river-rafting, fly fishing and mountain biking.

The Kruger National Park

The Kruger National Park (KNP), opened to the first visitors in 1927. It stretches 380 kilometers from north to south and 60 kilometers from east to west. The KNP boasts 16 distinct ecosystems, 147 species of mammals, 118 reptiles, 2 million hectare pristine Africa, 336 tree species and the ‘big five’ which include the white rhino and the endangered black rhino, the elephant, the lion, the most elusive leopard and the buffalo.

The KNP has nine Bushveld camps and four private camps. Skukuza is the administrative capital of the Kruger National Park with an airport close by and it’s the biggest, and most popular one of the Bushveld camps.

Skyway Trails Hazyview

This aerial cable trail takes one gliding over one of the last remaining natural forested valleys in South Africa, situated alongside the Sabie River adjacent to the Kruger National Park. The aerial cable trail stops at a number of elevated platforms for visitors to admire the natural vegetation, birdlife and the views of the forest floor below.

Each section of the trail varies in length from 70 to 230 meters linking a total of ten platforms, making this the longest cable trail in Africa (1,2 km). The trail has been designed and build to South African civil engineering standards and all the equipment has been designed specifically for this activity and tried and tested worldwide. All groups are escorted by qualified guides.
